Our Services

Our clinics

Each clinic is run by a practitioner trained in the United States or Canada. Where your care needs more than one of them, they confer, and you get one plan rather than several.

Endocrinology & Diabetes

Diagnosis and long-term management of diabetes and the hormone systems that affect weight, bone, thyroid and fertility.

We see patients for: type 1 and type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, thyroid disorders, cholesterol disorders, osteoporosis and bone disorders, endocrine gland cancer, infertility and menopause, obesity and weight management.

What happens: a full consultation and history, bloods taken here in the on-site laboratory where needed, and a written plan you leave with. Your follow-up is scheduled before you go.

Rheumatology & Lupus

Specialist care for autoimmune disease and disorders of the joints, muscles and connective tissue.

We see patients for: lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, Sjögren's syndrome, scleroderma, vasculitis, osteoporosis, persistent joint and muscle pain.

What happens: examination and history, bloods and imaging arranged as needed, and where treatment calls for an infusion it is given here in our own suite rather than on a hospital waiting list.

Nephrology

Care for the kidneys, most often where diabetes or high blood pressure has begun to affect them.

We see patients for: chronic kidney disease, diabetic kidney disease, high blood pressure affecting the kidneys, protein or blood in the urine, electrolyte disorders.

What happens: Most patients in this clinic are already being treated here for diabetes or blood pressure, so the two consultants work from the same record.

Dermatology

Medical care for the skin, hair and nails, including the skin problems that come from conditions treated elsewhere in this practice.

We see patients for: eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin cancer screening, hair and nail disorders, and skin changes related to lupus, diabetes and thyroid disease. Cosmetic dermatology.

What happens: examination, and where needed a biopsy or minor procedure carried out here.

Pulmonology

Care for the lungs and breathing, including the tiredness and snoring that turn out to be a sleep disorder.

We see patients for: asthma, chronic cough, shortness of breath, sleep apnoea and other sleep-related breathing problems.

What happens: consultation and examination, with sleep testing arranged through the practice where your symptoms point that way.

Infusion Services

Prescribed treatments given by drip, in our own infusion suite, without a hospital admission.

We provide infusions for: biologic and immune therapies for rheumatological and autoimmune conditions, iron infusions, and other prescribed treatments.

What happens: a chair in a quiet room and a nurse with you throughout. A session typically runs 6 hours. Eat before you come unless you have been told otherwise, and bring something to read.

Physiotherapy

Hands-on rehabilitation and movement therapy for pain, injury and stiffness, alongside your medical treatment.

We see patients for: joint and back pain, arthritis, post-surgical and post-injury rehabilitation, mobility and balance.

What happens: Physiotherapy here runs alongside medical treatment rather than separately from it. The physiotherapist and the consultant work from the same record.

Diabetes Education & Nutrition

One-to-one sessions on living with diabetes day to day, and eating plans built around Jamaican food rather than a foreign meal plan.

Covers: monitoring your blood sugar, insulin and medication, food and portions, foot and eye care, weight management, and what to do on a bad day. Nutrition support also covers kidney disease, cholesterol and high blood pressure.

What happens: an unhurried session, in plain language, with something written down to take home.

On-site Laboratory

Bloods for our clinics can be taken in this building. The laboratory is on site and operated independently of the practice.

Flu Vaccination

Flu Vaccination Seasonal flu vaccination, available to patients of the practice. Call (876) 978-3188 to check availability and whether you are eligible
